INFORMATION
Manuel Elkin Patarroyo Murillo, is a most influential Colombian in the
last 50 years, because his advances in research have contributed with science
and medicine for cure diseases.
He born on a small Tolima town, it called
Ataco, on November 3th of Colombian
more Date of birth: November 3, 1946, 71years ago. His
parents were Julia Murillo y Manuel Patarroyo Leyva. Manuel ever loved the
science, he studied on National University of Colombia, Yale University and Rockefeller
University. He graduated like Doctor on pathology and Immunology. Whence he decided to create a small laboratory
that would later become the Institute of Immunology in Bogota, Colombia.
Then of a lot studies and researches he wrote a books which called:
Manuel Elkin Patarroyo: conversations with Flor Romero a finally he won a Robert
Koch Award by his invention of malaria vaccine.
